Clear the Space
In order for us to get a clear scope of the project, we need to be able to see everything. Grading, landscaping, and other fences will all impact the layout, so having a good view upfront is essential. If you’re able to remove any excess foliage or problem areas before we come out, we can take care of your project quickly and easily! Plus, while we love dogs, we know not all dogs love people. Additionally, they can be rather distracting when it comes time for the installation, so keep them in a safe, secured space for the duration. The same goes for your toys—adult and child alike. Any balls, bikes, heavy equipment, and/or tools that can be put away will help us move materials quicker and, thus, cut down your installation costs. So, help us help you with your new fence!
Don’t be Afraid to Ask Questions
Communication is key to a smooth installation day, so ask as many questions as you can beforehand. If you think you might have an easement, let us know so we can work around that as needed. If you believe you need a permit for your fence height, will you apply for those or will we? How will we handle any grading in your lawn? Depending on how much slope we’re dealing with, we may recommend a particular style to mask the “steps” associated with this type of installation. Be Accessible
This applies to both you and your property. While you don’t necessarily have to be onsite during the installation, some homeowners just prefer to be present. However, we do need access to your yard, so be sure to leave the gate unlocked when applicable. You may also want to keep your phone on just in case any unexpected surprises pop up while our installers are working. We’d rather consult with you first than make an unauthorized change that you don’t like. Plus, we want you to see the finished product!
